Charlie Howard Turner (Chucky) passed away July 16, 2007 in Detroit, Michigan. He was 60 years old.

Born in LaGrange, Georgia, Charlie moved to Akron, Ohio and graduated from North High School. He joined the Armed Forces and later moved to Detroit, Michigan. He worked for the United States Postal Service and served as union representative. Charlie retired recently due to illness. He met and married his lovely wife, Dorsey (Dot) of 24 years.

Preceded in death by parents, Elliott and Lizzie Turner; two brothers, Elliott Jr. and Sylvester Turner; two sisters, Dorothy J. Turner and Katie Ruth Dowell; he is survived by loving wife, Dorsey (Dot) Turner of Detroit, Michigan; four brothers, Frank (Martha) Turner of Detroit, Michigan, Robert Turner, John (Rochelle) Turner, and Thomas Turner of Akron, Ohio; two sisters, Julia Lee, and Carrie (Ernest) Wadley of Akron, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at Rhoden Memorial Home on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at 1 p.m., Elder Charles Bell officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Cemetery.
