Louise Warren (Davis)

Louise Warren, 81 entered into eternal rest on January 22, 2009 after a brief illness.

She was born on April 27, 1927 in Chattanooga, Tenn. to Elbert and Estella Davis. Louise was a longtime resident of Akron, Ohio. Her love for her family was unconditional, whatever she had you had. Her doors were always open to all. Mom was a skilled seamstress, and an avid reader. She was a graduate of North High School and a member of the United Baptist Church, under the pastorate of Roderick C. Pounds, Sr.

Louise was employed with Manchester Tool, until her retirement in 2001. Mom had a great work ethic that she continued well into her 70's and she enjoyed working with her colleagues that she called her family.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, Fred Warren, Sr.; parents, Elbert and Estella Davis; brothers, Buddy and Theodore Davis; sisters, Helen Coston and Ethel Davis (of California); precious sons, Bobby and Willie Winters and special Aunt, Florence Watley, all of Akron, Ohio. Left to cherish her memory are brother, Edward Davis, Jr. (of South Carolina); sister, Betty (Coley) Smith; special sister-in-law, Barbara Davis; daughters, Lauretta "Penny" (Winston) Williams, Linda (Charles) Forney and Denise Williams, all of Akron, Ohio; sons, Ronald (Elnora) Winters and Freddie Warren, Jr.; beloved cousin, Edna Strayhand and Pamela Coston (raised as a daughter); 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-greatgrandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, all of whom she loved dearly.

Services will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 442 Bell Street, Akron, Ohio. Jeffrey A. Dennis, Senior Pastor, Officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. The Home going Service will be held at 12 noon. Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home in charge.
