Theresa
Fagan
Our dear sister, Theresa Fagan, 53, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, Sunday, October 21, 2007, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.
Theresa was a devoted daughter, wonderful and caring sister and cousin and a loving and generous "Auntie Dearest" to her nephew and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Antoinette (Nardella) and Daniel O.; and survived by sisters, Patricia (Mark Messina), Michele (Jim Kaiser), of Akron; Mary Frances (Steve Ball) of Westerville; brothers, Danny (Margie) of Cleveland, and Paul (Diane) of Lexington, Ky. She also leaves her nephew and godchild, David Yaugo; nieces, Emily and Audrey Fagan, Kate, Olivia and godchild Andrea Ball, and Maris Fagan; uncles, Gabriel Nardella and Edward Rosa; and aunt, Grace Pappano; as well as cousins and their families, Kathy Allio, Janet McMasters, Judy Knight, Marilyn DiMauro, Gabe Nardella, Bob Rosa, Jim Rosa, Cyndie Plummer, Joe Rosa and Guy Rosa. Theresa cherished her family. She considered aunts and uncles as parents, her cousins to be brothers and sisters, and loved her nephew and nieces as her own.
Theresa was a life-long North Hill resident and faithful St. Martha parishioner who never missed Sunday mass. She was a 1971 graduate of St. Vincent High school, graduating summa cum laude from Kent State University in 1975. Theresa possessed a brilliant and distinctive mind, inheriting her father's dry wit and mother's artistic talent. Her career with First Merit bank spanned 29 years, where she will be missed by her long-time North Hill customers. Always ahead of her time musically, she was a charter member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame where a visit to the museum with Theresa was like walking with an expert tour guide. Theresa, you left us much too soon. You will never realize the impact you had on our lives and the many people you touched. "Oh, Theresa, we hardly knew ye."
Mass of the Christian Burial will be Thursday, October 25,
10 a.m. at St. Martha Church, followed by internment at Holy Cross cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 24, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hennessy Funeral
