Virginia Mae Pullins Musser

Virginia Mae Pullins Musser passed away on February 20, 2009.

She was born in Pomeroy on May 23, 1916. Her parents were Lawrence and Nellie Pullins. She married H. Oliver Musser, M.D. on February 26, 1937. She spent almost her entire life in Akron but was recently residing in Florence, Oregon.

She was a graduate of North High School and of Hammel-Actual Business College and was employed as an executive secretary at B.F. Goodrich and W. E. Wright. She served as President of the Summit County Medical Auxiliary, as Treasurer of the Summit County Children's Home Board, and she was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she served as a deaconess.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband of 71 years, Oliver. She is survived by her daughter, Leeanne (Delmos) Wright of Palm Harbor, Florida; by her two sons, Robert (Marjorie) Musser of Maben, Mississippi and William (Kathleen) Musser of Florence, Oregon; by her grandchildren, Peter (Eileen) Wright of Billings, Montana, Andrew (Carole) Wright of Elyria, Ohio, Melissa (John) Ralston of Prattville, Alabama, Fara (Ryan) Blaszak of Portland, Oregon, and Ami (Carlos) Musser-Caldwell of Santa Fe, New Mexico; and by seven great-grandchildren.

At her request, there will be a private family memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Haven of Rest, 175 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44308 or to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1250 West Exchange St., Akron, OH 44313.
