Vito F. Barbuto
Vito F. Barbuto, 92, died peacefully in his sleep on Feb. 16, 2007.
Vito Barbuto was a life long Akron resident. He served in a tank division with the U.S. Army during World War II. For 40 years, he was a faithful worker for the Park and Recreation Dept. of the city of Akron and was a member of the Catholic War Vet. Vito will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Preceded in death by brothers, William and Joseph. He will be missed by his loving wife of 68 years, Christine; sons, Stephen (Maggie), Mark (Rose); grandchildren, Nicholas and Alexis; brother, James V. Barbuto; nieces, nephew and many friends.
Vito was also preceded in death by his pet dogs, Sophie and Scooter.
Calling hours, Monday February 19, 2007 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Dunn Quigley Ciriello and Carr. Falls Chapel, 810 Portage Trail. Mass of Christain Burial 9:30 Tuesday February 20, 2007 at St. Anthony. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Family suggests memorials be sent to St Jude Children Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105-1905.
